We pick up and dispose of rubbish, litter, and garbage in the central Okanagan Valley.
Our driver hauls yard waste, construction and demolition debris, unused appliances, leftover household paint, old televisions and other electronics, furniture, mattresses, barbecues, toys, tires, clothes and any other junk you have laying around and no longer want.
Whether it is curbside pickup or loading items from basements, attics, back yards, homes or offices, we get the job done!
We also break down and take away unwanted hottubs, spas or jacuzzis from decks, patios and other areas that are difficult to access.
Summer, spring, winter or fall, OK Junk is here. Give us a call!
It is our goal to repair, reuse, recycle, repurpose and donate everything we possibly can to reduce what ends up in landfill. This not only benefits the environment but it also helps us save you money!
December 4, 2014. We are searching for another used, carburated Mazda B2200 truck to put on the road while we rebuild the engine on "Ole' Blue". It still gets us where we want to go but at 325,000 km's, some of the fluids in the engine are ending up where they don't belong. Rad stop leak is just a temporary fix.
December 3, 2014. Someone kindly donated an old gutted 29 foot travel trailer to the cause. We are going to tear it down to the frame and convert it to a utility trailer so we can haul bigger loads. It has a solid chassis and will make an awesome second trailer! We will recycle the metal, toss the plastic and the rest will end up being composted at the Glenmore landfill site.
November 26, 2014. The arrival of snow coincides with the end of free yard waste pickup in Kelowna. If you missed the deadline and need leftover leaves, needles, branches or limbs taken care of give us a call!
August 25, 2014. The owner of a local Okanagan business is asking people to be on the lookout for a "bright green garbage can". The garbage can, which belongs to a local mobile food vendor, was used by robbers to steal the contents of his food truck. more... At OK Junk we advocate only using garbage cans for good and not for evil. They are made to clean and organize, not take what doesn't belong to you. We are keeping our eyes open looking for the green garbage recepticle and we are asking other Okanagan residents to do the same.
August 22, 2014. The "Painted Wood" pile at the Glenmore landfill is almost full. Apparently there are not many recycling options available for painted wood or particle board at the moment. City staff are directing it to the oversized bins along with regular domestic garbage. This means that our customers don't have to sort it out separately. It also saves us the trip to the north end of the dump along with the possibility of picking up an errant nail or screw along the way. Unfortunately it also means that the landfill site will be full sooner rather than later.
"No job too small!"
We thrive on small jobs, keeping our costs low and passing the savings on to you. Rates start at $30.
We can usually do same or next day pickup.
It only takes us minutes to clean up what took years to accumulate.
